"When I was looking for a yoga teacher training, I chose the course very carefully. Practicing and teaching Martial Arts Internationally for many years and practicing Yoga for a decade, I had a reasonable understanding of the differences between the many ‘production line’ style courses, and the other kind of courses. What I was looking for should encompass a rounded and deep approach to all limbs of Yoga, special needs and therapy education. Ideally, the course would have small participating groups.
There are many courses available close to home in WA, however I knew that the course with Flo at Byron Bay would be a win, because I had the chance and privilege to train with and learn from Flo a couple of times before in the last 5 years.
The course ‘Intouch Yoga Level One Teacher Training’ with Flo Fenton exceeded my expectations. The quality of teaching was superb. Several very high level instructors provided expertise in different areas: philosophy, anatomy, physiology, and yoga for special needs. Asana, Pranayama and Meditation built the core of the course and were greatly complimented with regular Healing Mantra chanting and unique advanced Yoga Nidra. A relatively small group of 14 students from around the world practiced intensely together all day long for a month, creating a spiritual vibration that was felt throughout the course. Great vegetarian dinners were made more special when all of us naturally shared our daily experiences. The location was superb, with opportunities to jump into the ocean during any break and watch the sunrise.
I will be looking forward for a Level II training!"

"The Level One In Touch Yoga training provided a different approach to my previous teacher training - with a more of a focus on the individual. We were taught excellent sequences for typical problem areas of the body, developed individual programs for ourselves and others and learnt specific modifications and adjustments to suit the varying needs of an average class. The selected co-teachers provided a strong base of experience to compliment Flo’s professional approach. The philosophy with Swami Nityabodha presented in a simple and heartfelt way brought further clarity and insight into complex topics. The practical nature of the anatomy sessions took my knowledge of the body to a deeper level. My personal practice and teaching has been strongly influenced by these new teachings and I would recommend this course to all. The teacher training aside, it was a great opportunity to immerse myself in all aspects of yoga, whilst in a beautiful setting connecting with nature in between the intense program."

"Dear Flo,
I wanted to write you to tell you that I am so happy with how the teacher training went last month. I have wanted to do this for several years now and feel so lucky that I stumbled upon your teacher training. I learned so much about yoga and you inspired me to learn more about yoga and other things that are related to yoga. Your teaching and the teaching of the other instructors that were part of the course have inspired me to keep learning and deepening my understanding of yoga.
Good luck with your next teacher training and keep all of us from the course posted on when you are going to hold your 300 hour teacher training. I know I have much to learn and experience before completing level 2 teacher training, but I have at least a couple of years to teach before this training :)
Thanks again for all of the work that you put into making our teacher training experience so amazing. I am pretty sure it beat everyone in the class' expectations"

I am delighted to provide a testimonial for Flo and her ‘Intouch Yoga’ Level One Teacher Training, not only because of the impact this has had on my life, but also for the opportunity to share with others what I have learned during a wonderful one month intensive.
This course is above all a mind opening experience and a great start on the path of self transformation and personal growth. I really can’t put into words just how much I got out of the month – both as a yoga student and as a teacher.
As an already practicing teacher and having undertaken previous teacher trainings in the area, I have always heard about and admired Flo’s wonderful teachings and wanted to expand on the previous teachings offered in other Level 1 Teacher Training courses. Flo’s model of teaching embraces the physical, the spiritual and the personal. She teaches with such love, affirmation and humility and constantly inspires! Her special understanding of Yoga Therapy, spinal misalignment, muscle and postural imbalances and how to adjust to create a safe sequence for the individual, appealed the most. She also offer’s the teachings of Yoga Nidra, Meditation and chanting as part of the yoga teacher training, which guided me on my spiritual path and deepened my relationship with yoga.
The month long training not only challenged and strengthened my yoga practice, but also accelerated my emotional and spiritual growth. The expert knowledge and genuine caring of all the senior teachers made each and every class a unique learning experience on many differing levels. I especially loved Liz Costigans teachings which emphasised safety and alignment. Her intrinsic detail on correct postural alignment with the use of props and beautiful restorative postures has allowed me to feel more comfortable when sequencing asanas to treat or prevent ailments and become a more effective teacher.
Not only has this course equipped me with the necessary skills I needed to teach a more comprehensive Yoga class, but through the philosophy and ethics, energetic anatomy sessions and techniques of yoga, I have gained invaluable understanding and insight into the inner self and the joy of Yoga.
I am so very grateful to Flo and all of her senior teachers and look forward to her Level 2 Teacher Training in the near future!!

The following testemonial is from a graduate of the 2010 One Day Per Week part time training.
When I signed up for Flo’s part time Level One Teacher Training, I did not really know what I was getting in to… I didn’t really think I would want to teach yoga, but I had some spare time, and it seemed like a good opportunity to learn more about yoga. The course ended up offering so much more than I expected! It really was a life-changing experience!! The breadth and depth of material covered in the course – and the comprehensive practice – allowed me to truly come to love yoga, and fully appreciate the amazing range of opportunities it offers for physical, personal and spiritual health and wellbeing. We learned asana, pranayama and philosophy, mantra and everyday practices like neti, we studied physiology, and learned the basics of ayurveda. We learned how to avoid injuries, how to design personalized practices, and we came to enjoy the benefits of practices specifically designed for ourselves. We each found our own particular styles of practice, and came to appreciate each other’s approaches. Flo guided us with wisdom, insight and compassion, sharing herself and her journey. Over the course of the year we took an amazing journey together into yoga, and into ourselves. By the end of the course I was not only fully commited to yoga practice, but also greatly desiring to share its benefits with everyone!! Even though some of us didn’t envisage teaching yoga when we began, we have all now – within weeks of completing the course – been teaching, including general yoga classes and private sessions, as well as designing practices for numerous friends and family members. I am very glad I did this course, and I know my life has now been permanently reshaped for the better by yoga.
