Location
Byron Bay is in Northern NSW, about 150K from Brisbane (about two hours drive) and about 900K from Sydney (about ten hours by car.) The area has a good climate and is renowned for its natural beauty, from fabulous white sand beaches to lush hinterland forests.
The training will take place in Suffolk Park, which is about 5K from Byron Bay town centre.
The Byron Bay region has long been associated with alternative life-styles, health and healing, and is often also called 'the yoga capital of Australia' due to the abundance of yoga classes and retreats offered. Byron Bay itself is a busy, colourful town on the coast of Northern NSW. It has stunning world class beaches, and is famous as a surfing destination. In recent years it has also become famous for fine dining, and an array of unique clothing and life-style boutiques. There are many places to explore in the locality, including mountains, rainforests and the reef.
Though Byron Bay town has become a little too busy for some over the past 10 years, Suffolk Park has maintained the laid back vibe and slow pace that Byron Bay was once known for. Suffolk Park village has its own pub, shops and a beautiful stretch of beach, Tallow Beach.
Tallow Beach Houses is one of the original beach house destintions in the area, and still adheres to an ethic of blending in with nature, and a down to earth style which is affordable. It is a perfect environment in which to immerse yourself in the teacher training intensive.
